In 1977, I studied at the Guatemalan National Conservatory of Music with Professors Alejandro Herrera and Rene Abularach on Classical guitar. I also studied harmony and composition with Igor de Gandarias, Juaqin Orellana and Jorge Sarmientos. In New Orleans, I took private jazz guitar courses with steve Masakowski and Hank Mackie.
In 1983 I started my own Jazz band, “ACOUSTIC ENSAMBLE”, a band that I shared with well known international musicians like: Carlos Gomes, Fernando Perez, Bryon Sosa, Miguel Angel Villagran, Igor Sarmientos, Alfredo Caceres, Antonio Cosenza, German Giordano, Rolando Gudiel, Roberto Abularach, Auri Ruiz, Marco Antonio Molina, Lenin Fernandez, Luis Estrada, Roberto Estrada, Maritza Estrada, Carlos Duarte, Carlos Soto, Lionel Franco, and many others.
In 1985 I was invited by Pat Jolly a famus producer in New Orleans, to play at the Heritage New Orleans Jazz festival where I continued to play for many years. Musicians like Patrice Fisher, Tony Degrady, Rick Marguitza, Tomoko Block, Ector Gayardo, Jimmy Robinson, and Ector Infanson, were just some of famous faces in Jazz of which I had the privilege of performing with.
In 1988 I was an assistant teacher at the National Conservatory of Music. In 1990 I opened my own recording studio and Production Company, "A TEMPO”, and for the next 8 years I wrote jingles and music for documentaries for national and international companies like Pepsi, odka Finlandia, Tootsie Roll, radio stations, and many others.

In 1999 I moved to New Orleans were I kept performing, producing and teaching Classical and Jazz guitar. In 2005 I moved to Arlington TX were I perform as a Guitar Soloist and with Jazz ensembles in the DFW area. I also produce local bands with the latest technology in recording gear, and teach guitar at Music Kahncepts Studio, Fort Worth Academy, Northstar High School, Clay Academy, and at Music & Arts Center in Arlington.
